I mounted the aluminium channels on the top of beams, using glue rather than the clips, and they are so low profile they can not be seen except from one place in the room, and then, only just. However, the effect is fantastic, better than I had hoped, as they light up the whole room, with the light shining up, reflected back into the room by the angled ceiling. It saved me the hassle of trying to rout a groove and used recessed channel, and I am delighted with the light. I did not "daisy-chain" the three strips, but had three ends to insert into the transformer, so I cut down two spade connectors to fit, and soldered the wires to each, and used heat-shrink sleeving to insulate. It was really neat and extra safe, and this way the three branches provide the same light. The photo below does not do it justice!
