HALO by VIVÖE

Rooms with instincts.

Presence-aware lighting and automation, built on a reliable Zigbee mesh — easy to retrofit, easy to grow.

Presence, not motion

Lighting that reacts more naturally.

A smarter network

Zigbee mesh keeps things responsive.

Keep your existing lights

Make the control smarter, not messier.

Start small. Grow properly.

Begin with one win. Expand later.

How HALO works

Start with a backbone, add the room devices, then build useful automations.

1

Choose your backbone

Start with one HALO hub or gateway.

Gateway is the discreet Ethernet option. Hub Mini and Hub Max add wall-mounted control with a built-in Zigbee hub.

HALO Zigbee Gateway, HALO Hub Mini and HALO Hub Max

One backbone for the whole system

  • Gateway
  • Hub Mini
  • Hub Max
  • Up to 128 devices
2

Add the room devices

Add the devices that shape each room.

Use PIR for pass-through spaces, mmWave presence sensing for lived-in rooms, plus switches, plugs, dimmers and LED control.

HALO room devices including PIR sensor, presence sensor, smart switch, smart plug and dimming module

Build room by room

Scenes, schedules and presence-aware control

  • Hallway lighting
  • Bedtime mode
  • Lamp schedules
  • Energy saving

Built on a Zigbee mesh, so the system stays responsive and grows room by room.

Internet down? No problem.

Local Zigbee control, not another overloaded Wi-Fi setup

You don’t live in the cloud, so neither should your lighting system.

With HALO by VIVÖE, your home does not rely on every device fighting for Wi-Fi or constantly calling the cloud. Switches, sensors, automations and hub/gateway control continue locally through the Zigbee mesh.

No subscription. Ever. Core HALO control does not require a monthly service fee.
Less Wi-Fi congestion Zigbee devices communicate locally instead of crowding your router.
Still works offline Local switches, sensors and automations keep responding without internet.
App choice Use VIVÖE, or Tuya / Smart Life if preferred.
👇 Tap a scenario to compare:
Typical Wi-Fi Smart Home

Cloud-first Wi-Fi devices

Each device competes for router bandwidth and often depends on app/cloud services.

Add enough bulbs, plugs, cameras and speakers, and your Wi-Fi can become crowded.

More Wi-Fi traffic Router bottleneck Cloud dependent

Internet or cloud connection is unavailable.

Many cloud-reliant Wi-Fi devices can lose app control, routines or responsiveness.

Remote app unavailable Cloud routines fail Devices can become isolated

Local-first smart lighting

HALO devices talk locally through Zigbee, reducing Wi-Fi congestion.

The cloud is there for setup, app services and remote access — not to make every switch press work.

Local mesh Fast response No subscription

Internet down? HALO keeps the home running locally.

Switches, sensors, automations and hub/gateway control continue through the Zigbee mesh.

Prefer Tuya or Smart Life? HALO can be used with Tuya or Smart Life if that is your preferred app ecosystem. For the best experience, we recommend the VIVÖE app because our team can provide direct customer service support for it.

Note: Internet/cloud access is still required for remote app control, account services and making certain system or scene changes. The key difference is that HALO’s local Zigbee mesh keeps core home functions working without a paid subscription.

Built in the app. Backed by the hub

Create automations, scenes and schedules in the VIVÖE app, while your gateway or hub helps tie HALO devices, compatible Tuya products and hub screen control into one joined-up system.

Set up with confidence

Everything people usually want to know before they choose a HALO setup — compatibility, reliability, installation and support.

Do I need a hub or gateway?

In most cases, yes. HALO needs one central control point to bring everything together. Choose the Zigbee Gateway if you want a discreet hub by your router, or choose Hub Mini or Hub Max if you want a wall-mounted control screen with the Zigbee hub built in.

Does HALO still work if Wi-Fi drops?

One of the big advantages of HALO is that it is built around Zigbee, so your devices are not all relying on Wi-Fi on their own. That helps the system feel more stable and responsive. In gateway-led setups, core local automations can continue running even if your Wi-Fi drops for a while.

What’s the difference between motion and presence?

Motion sensing is ideal for spaces people pass through, such as hallways, landings and utility rooms. Presence sensing is better for rooms where someone may sit still for longer, such as a bedroom, living room or home office. In simple terms: motion notices when you move through a space, while presence is better at noticing that you are still there.

Will HALO work with existing lights and switches?

Yes — that is a big part of the appeal. HALO is designed so you can improve a room in stages rather than start again. That might mean adding a smart switch, a hidden dimming module, a smart plug for lamps, or a room controller on the wall, depending on what you want the room to do.

Do I need an electrician?

It depends on the product. Items such as Hub Mini, Hub Max, smart switches, dimming modules and the 240V presence sensor should be installed by a qualified electrician. Simpler products such as the Smart Plug, battery PIR sensor and Zigbee Repeater are much easier ways to get started.

Where do I get help before or after buying?

You do not need to figure it all out alone. Our Help Hub brings together setup guides, troubleshooting, practical advice and support information in one place, so it is easy to find what you need before or after buying.
