In this video, we guide you through the wiring and setup of an LEDSpace interface (controller) specifically for operating RGBW (Red, Green, Blue, White) LED strips. We cover the entire process, from connecting the transformer to selecting the correct mode on the device.
We cover the following details:
- Driver Preparation: Removing the end cap from the secondary side of the LED driver to access the output terminals.
- Wiring Options: How to connect power using either a supplied DC plug cable or a prepared 2-core cable. We emphasize identifying polarity (using the marked/black-lined wire as positive) for a secure connection.
- Connecting the Interface: Securing the positive and neutral wires from the transformer into the input terminals of the controller using a slot-headed screwdriver.
- Understanding Indicator Lights: Purple Flashing: The device is searching for a local Wi-Fi network. Red Light: Indicates the controller is currently set for RGB mode. Green Light: Indicates the controller is correctly set for RGBW operation.
- Mode Switching: How to change the controller settings by holding the "Match" key for 14 seconds to switch the indicator light from Red to Green.
Technical Tip: Always double-check the connection between your driver and controller by giving the cables a gentle tug after screwing them down. Ensure the indicator light is solid Green before attempting to operate your RGBW strips.
Tools used:
- Cross-headed screwdriver (for the driver)
- Slot-headed screwdriver (for the interface)
- 2-core cable (with polarity markings)
