Installing HALO Smart Hub Mini / MAX

Installation of HALO Smart Hub Mini / HALO Smart Hub Max

Installation to be carried out by competent persons only.

NOTE: This product requires a neutral to be present at the switch
location.

Tools Required:

• Small flat-blade terminal Driver
• Voltage Detector

You may also need:

• Wire Strippers
• Connector blocks / Wagos
• Faceplate spacer (if your existing backbox is less than 35mm) Available Here

Step 1: Isolate Power

Find the circuit breaker that covers the circuit and switch it off. Test that the power is off at the switch.

Step 2:

Take note of existing connections & remove existing switch.

Please note that HALO Smart Hubs do not have any switching capacity, so cannot replace existing switches without additional equipment.

Step 3:

Remove metal backing plate from HALO device.

Connect the incoming Line and Neutral and CPC(Earth) cables to the appropriate terminals.  Also fit a spacer at this point if required.

Ensure connections are secure before clipping the HALO Switch back onto its mounting plate.

Step 5:

Re-energize the circuit & ensure proper operation of other accessories. The HALO Smart Hub will be entering its setup sequence at this point (it can take up to a minute to show the logo on the screen).
