Connect & Configure an LED Controller for White LED Strips

In this video, we walk you through the complete setup of an LED controller (interface) specifically for running white LED strips. We demonstrate how to wire the unit to an LED driver and configure the settings manually using the match key.

We cover the following details:

  • Secondary Side Wiring: How to prepare and connect a two-core cable from the output side of your LEDSpace driver to the input of the controller.
  • Identifying Polarity: Using cable markings (such as the black line for positive) to ensure the correct + and - orientation between the power supply and the interface.
  • Understanding Status Lights: Purple Flashing: Indicates the device is searching for a local Wi-Fi network. Yellow vs. White Light: Identifying the current operating mode of the controller.
  • Configuration: How to use the "Match" key (holding for 6-8 seconds) to switch the indicator light from yellow to white, ensuring the interface is correctly set to operate white LEDs.

Technical Tip: If the controller enters a network search loop (flashing purple) while you are trying to configure it, a single press of the button can short-circuit this process, allowing you to proceed with the setup immediately.

Tools used:

  • Slot-headed screwdriver
  • 2-core cable (with polarity markings)
