It depends. If your installation of LED strip is out of direct sight, in many cases you can install without profile. However, our aluminium profiles are great for:- Diffusing the light (takes away spotting).- Easier to clean, i.e., under kitchen cabinet.- Looks more professional.- Less likely to damage LED strip as it gives a reasonable amount of protection, i.e., best way to mound LED tape.
When you visit an LED profile product page, you will notice the dimensions of the profile in the description. You need to ensure the inside dimensions of the profile are wider than the LED strip lights.

Yes. A chop sawed with a aluminium cutting blade would be ideal, but a hacksaw will also be sufficient, if you are comfortable enough with using one.

No, when you add one of our profile to your cart, this is for the aluminium profile, diffuser and other accessories where stated, i.e., end caps, mounting brackets, etc.However, if you also purchase LED strip from us, we can pre-install the strip in to the profile for you. See our services page for more details.
The vast majority of our profile is silver anodised aluminium, unless otherwise stated. If you are buying in bulk and would like a different colour, please get a bespoke quote, and add details of the colour - we can provide you a price for this service.
Everything from 1m to 2.5m. If you need longer lengths, you can simply butt 2 or more profiles together. Need shorter lengths? No problem - simply cut these by yourself or add our service for pre-cutting to your measurements.
Yes. The vast majority of our profile comes with diffuser, end caps and mounting brackets. Please note, if you are cutting to size, you can also buy additional end caps, mounting brackets etc. from our profile accessories page.
'Open' end caps allow for easy access for strip cabling, where as 'closed' end caps are exactly that - used at the end of the length where no cables will continue through to the other side.
