Shape the gaming setup
Explore desk-edge placement, colour accents and cable planning.
Bring thoughtful light to the desk, shelves and wall behind your setup, with control over how the room feels after work.

An office and a gaming space often share the same desk, but they do not need the same lighting scene. Use LED strip for a considered background, illuminated joinery or a colour feature. Keep the light needed for reading and detailed work in the wider lighting plan.
Choose the feature you want to light, then explore how it works within the wider space.

Shop LED strip lightsPlan the lighting position, mounting and complete system around the actual space and the way it is used.
A concealed run behind the desk or a lit shelf can give the room depth without placing a bright source directly in view. Test the position with the monitor on and off, and check reflections from your normal chair position. Consider how the background appears on video calls as well as when gaming.
Plan desk accents, shelves and ceiling features as separate zones if you want different scenes. Fixed white, adjustable white and RGB each need appropriate controls; colour-changing strip does not automatically provide screen synchronisation. A dedicated task light may still be needed for paper, drawing or detailed work.
Include the desk width and depth, monitor position, shelf lengths and distance from the furniture to the wall. Mark moving parts on a sit-stand desk, leaving an appropriate cable arrangement. Explore warm whiteA more neutral white-light appearance. Check the selected product and test it on the surface you want to light.
Explore natural whiteA cooler white-light appearance. Consider how it works with the room’s finishes and existing lights.
Explore cool whiteChange the white-light tone using compatible CCT controls. The available range depends on the selected strip.
Explore adjustable whiteExplore colour as a decorative layer with a compatible strip and controller. Keep practical task lighting in the scheme.
Explore colourWhat about RGBW? RGBW combines colour with a separate white channel. The white tone and control options depend on the product. Compare RGB and RGBW strip options and check the complete system.
Swatches are illustrative, not exact colour temperatures. Screens, surfaces and installation details change how light appears. Colour availability and suitability vary by selected product.
These products offer starting points for dry indoor decorative lighting. Task-lighting levels, screen synchronisation and other control features need their own verified specification.

Adjustable white lets a desk or shelf accent change its white-light appearance with suitable controls.Requires a compatible CCT controller and 24V supply; it does not by itself establish sufficient task illumination.

Separate controls let you vary the decorative layers without changing every light in the room. Choose the white-light and colour features you need, then check controller and supply compatibility.
RGB mixes colours and is not equivalent to a dedicated white-light channel. Choose white or adjustable-white lighting where that is your aim, and assess the desk task lighting separately.
Do not assume that function is included. Screen matching needs a compatible synchronisation system and the right strip and controller combination; specify the feature before ordering.
Use a secure, concealed position that avoids moving parts. Plan cable slack and restraint through the full height range with the desk manufacturer instructions in mind.
