The setting around a hot tub can benefit from a considered garden-lighting scheme: a separate seating area, an architectural wall or a suitably located pergola. This page covers external surroundings only. A qualified installer must determine permitted positions, separation, protection and electrical requirements for the actual hot tub and site before any product is selected or installed.

Bring the idea back to your own dimensions, mounting surface and exposure conditions.
Bring the light position, mounting, location conditions and complete electrical system into one installation brief.
Plan the surrounding space first
Start with the places beyond the tub itself: where you sit, where towels are stored and how the surrounding garden looks from the water. A separately located wall or structure may offer a design route, subject to installer approval. Keep the proposed source out of direct sightlines where possible and assess the wider access lighting independently. Do not attach strip to the tub, its cover or its service enclosure by assumption.
Have the installer define the boundaries
Provide the hot-tub manufacturer’s information and a site plan showing the tub, steps, cover movement, service panels and nearby structures. The installer must determine the appropriate separation and requirements; this page does not prescribe a safe distance. Heat, splash, moisture, treatment chemicals and local conditions all need consideration against the equipment manufacturers’ limits. An IP67 strip rating alone does not establish suitability for a hot-tub location or the complete electrical system.
Keep routes protected and equipment serviceable
After permitted locations are agreed, measure each lit section and the cable route to accessible power and control equipment. Preserve access to the tub’s own servicing points and keep cables clear of walking routes, moving covers and equipment. Specify suitable protection for every connection and entry. SPLASH12 is not suitable for submersion and must not be used as in-water lighting or where the design depends on it sitting in pooled water.
Choose the mood
Choose the effect. Check the complete system.
Explore white-light and colour options, then have a qualified installer confirm the selected products and every connection for the actual location.
FIXED WHITE
Warm white
A fixed warm-white appearance for the selected lighting detail. Test it against the actual outdoor surface.
RGB and RGBW use different control arrangements. The colour product linked here is RGBW, with its own white channel; an ordinary indoor RGB strip is not an automatic substitute.
Swatches are illustrative, not product photographs or exact colour temperatures. Screens and surfaces change how light appears. Available tones and suitability vary by product. The strip’s rating does not establish the protection of the whole system.

These sealed strip options are starting points for an installer-assessed system. The strip rating alone does not establish location suitability or protect its connections, controls and power equipment.
Seamless SPLASH12 Warm White LED Strip, Top bending, 24V, 2700K
A possible fixed warm-white accent on a separately located garden feature, only after the installer approves that position. Not for in-water use, tub modification or an assumed near-water location. Installer must determine separation and all system requirements.
Seamless SPLASH12 Adjustable White LED Strip, Top bending, 24V
Adjustable white for an approved external seating or architectural feature within the wider garden setting.Compatible CCT equipment is required. IP67 alone does not establish hot-tub suitability; assess exposure and manufacturer limits for the entire system.
Seamless SPLASH12 RGB + Warm White LED Strip, Top bending, 24V
Colour and white-light options for a separately located, installer-approved garden feature around the setting. Not submersible or approved for the tub itself. Confirm placement, RGBW controls, component protection and access before ordering.
These are individual strips, not a complete lighting kit or a checked bill of materials. Confirm mounting, power, controls, cables, connections and exposure limits together. SPLASH12 must remain outside water and is not a walkover or driveover lighting system. Product imagery does not identify the products used in the concepts.
No. Its installation guide excludes submersion. This page is about separately assessed external surroundings and does not recommend products for lighting inside the water or the hot-tub vessel.
How far from a hot tub should LED strip be installed?
A qualified installer must determine the permitted placement and separation for your specific tub, installation and applicable requirements. Do not use a generic distance or the strip’s IP rating as approval for a location.
Can I fix strip to the hot-tub casing or beneath its rim?
Do not assume those positions are permitted. Ask the hot-tub manufacturer and a qualified installer to assess any proposed modification or nearby electrical equipment. Keep the tub’s service access and safety-related components unaltered.
What should I send before asking for a quote?
Send a site plan, photographs, the hot-tub model and manufacturer information, surrounding structures and proposed power location. Include the cover’s movement and service access. Your installer should confirm permitted lighting positions before the final specification.
